I ordered $200 control arms for a 2016 Jeep and I received a $20 (maybe) sunshade for a truck. This was not the issue because anyone can make a mistake. When I called customer service I talked to a very nice man named Todd. After speaking with management he confirmed that they could not send me my control arms until they received their sunshade. Hello, but you sent me the sunshade that I don't even have a vehicle for. The least they could have done is to go ahead and get my correct order in the process of being shipped.
I have been a customer of Extreme Terrain for several years and have always been very happy. Customer service, returns, great quality ect never had an issue, until today.
I ordered a Rugged Ridge jk jeep CV driveshaft repair kit and u joint on April 16,2020. I sometimes order stuff and then order more stuff and then 2-3 or 6 months later get around to installing everything. Yesterday i finally got around to having the time to work on the jeep replacing rotors and pads ( also purchased at Extreme). Well i found out about the Rzippa joints. So i tried to order a new drive shaft from Extreme, but they were out of stock. So i ordered a shaft from Tom Woods direct, deliver in 5 days, good price, nice people.
Ok so today I call Extreme return dept and they tell I can't return the CV kit and u joint because of the return policy, 30 days, ok shame on me for not reading the return policy, but really jeep parts, are they out of date, spoiled, not even touched. I even offered to pay a restocking fee, no dice.
Sign me probably gonna find a new jk supplier

Order a Body Armor rear bumper for my Tacoma and the tag light and Trailer hookup didn't mate up with my TRD package locations, even though it was advertised too. So I was going to return and up grade to another bumper from Extreme but was told I waited pass the return time of 7 days. Yes! 7days. What reputable company has that short a return time. This company Sucks and should be avoided. I have already spent to much money with them. Stay Away! Far away!
Sold utter crap. Purchased the Barricade Apocalypse Grille Guard at a cost of $700 which is a steer grille & bumper combination. In the description it say the following: Bumper and Grille assembly in a 2-stage finish using epoxy pre-coating and high-grade, textured black powder coating for durability and long-lasting corrosion resistance.
5 months in and I have pockets of rust and blemishes everywhere on the finish. I called their support line only to me told that their grille doesn't have a warranty which they neglected to mention on the website. The did offer me $20 whole dollars for my trouble. Such dirtbags.
I've ordered from this company twice. Both times, they've waited about two or more weeks to even pull my order and both times my order has been shipped and us apparently floating around in space.....because they don't properly track the product after eventually shipping.
Each time I've tried to track my order, the projected delivery date gets a little more broad.
If you plan in buying an item as a gift, from this company, you better do it three months in advance of when you need it. Because there's no telling when you'll get it.
This is my last time buying from them.
I decided to replace the bumpers on my 2000 jeep wrangler sahara.So I fought some from extreme terrain that I liked that would fit. In doing so I found the front bumper that was cheaper and it said open box. So I talk to a tech about this bumper and he said it was just a open box all the parts were working and there.
Well as I was installing the bumpers I noticed the front bumper hat mud on it and was starting to rust a couple of places.
I decided I could live with this but later I found out why it was returned the passenger side fog light fogs up and the wiring harness was all messed up not working so I wired it to my stock fog light switch. I only wish I read all of the negative reviews extreme terrain has about their business before I became a mother one.
I talk to 3 customer service people before I got the answer to take it to a shop and let them do it.
Old well you learn in life about the mistakes you make and this one I will remember. Never to buy anything from this company.
-When I called the ExtremeTerrain at the beginning of October and asked for flat black rims I was told this is what I would be getting (photo 1) All flat black with black Center caps
-what was sent to me are GLOSSY rims with BRIGHT RED and BLUE pin strips and chrome Center caps! (photo 2, Center caps arrived badly damaged)
Again I called and spoke with a Representative of the company and was told that I would have black Center caps sent to me
Caps arrive and are to small ( photo 3)
Now the company refuses to correct what is no fault of mine other then purchasing over the phone and believing what was said to be true by them ( twice!)
I've asked for someone to contact me and all the company offers is to replace the damaged chrome Center caps which are now on BACKORDER! With no ETA

I made my order by phone and 2 out of 6 items were wrong and 1 never arrived. When I called, the representative said he would email me a return label for the wrong items, and for his mistake, ship my replacement parts immediately, which he did not. I said I would put the label on the box and leave it by the curb for UPS to pick up, which never happened. After days of no pickup, I inquired and now EXT wanted ME to fix their mistakes and call UPS for pickup, which their representative was supposed to do, or for ME to take the mis-shipped items to the UPS on MY time before they would ship my new parts. I've wasted hours waiting on the phone with returns and customers NO SERVICE and days for parts that were not on the way as promised. If you ask me, Extreme Terrain could care less about how much their customers are inconvenienced even after their own mistakes. I will NEVER do business with them again.
Extreme Terrain is TERRIBLE! I wish I had looked up reviews for this company before I started buying from them as it would have saved me a TON of headache. I've placed a total of 4 separate orders from these guys and 3 out of the 4 have been messed up. They sent the wrong part. The shipping and receiving department must be morons. So after the 4th order arrived and it had a wrong part, I decided to do some investigating. Low and behold I find out I'm not the only one having a crappy experience with this company. I STRONGLY encourage you to buy your parts elsewhere less you want to deal with screw up after screw up.
I've been a customer of Extreme Terrain for a while now. I have made 9 modest purchases, and all have been delivered timely and in good condition save one. For the only one that I received that was in less-than-new condition, the agent I corresponded with via email immediately offered to exchange it for a new item with no issues. After considering everything companies like ET are going through with COVID, I opted to just keep the item as the minor damage was purely cosmetic, and I was grateful they had what I was looking for and that I could receive it in less than two weeks. They took care of me with a partial store credit (which I have already used on another purchase) and some awesome decals. Excellent service here!
I highly recommend Extreme Terrain! Why? They have a great selection of items ranging from "budget" to "more money than I know how to spend." Everything I've ordered has come as advertised. Their customer service was professional, helpful, and prompt. Especially considering most folks in companies like this are working remotely still!
Kudos to them for running a tight ship, and for empowering their agents to make the customer happy.
Keep up the hard work Extreme Terrain, and know that at least one customer really appreciates all you do!
I've purchased 9 items from Extreme Terrain, and have been extremely pleased with the quality of the products, timeliness of the delivery and overall experience! Yes, only a couple recent purchases have been made since the onset of COVID-19, but given the challenges industries like this face right now I would absolutely give them 5/5 stars!
I have only had one real issue, and it was resolved quickly, professionally and to my complete satisfaction. I received a less-than-new steering stabilizer (minor cosmetic scrapes), and when I inquired about it they offered to exchange it for a new one on the spot. After considering how hard these folks are working to make customers like me happy I opted to just keep the item, and they sent me some decals and gave me a store-credit for half the cost. Awesome service!
They have a great selection of products from "budget friendly" to "I have more money than I know what to do with." And when I have ordered from them they have all shipped and been received in under 2 weeks, which is MORE than a lot of companies are able to offer at this time.
I highly recommend Extreme Terrain. That said, if you are making a lot of online purchases right now, as customers we should be patient, understanding and grateful for the folks making it happen! That goes for the call-center employees working remotely, the warehouse running on minimal staff, the management team pulling all-nighters, and those handling shipping (UPS, FedEx and USPS). Without them we wouldn't be able to throw money at our Jeeps the way we are! If you are expecting a 24 hour shipping on ANYTHING right now, you are OUT OF YOUR MIND.
Ok, once again I have ordered from your company and once again I am extremely impressed. I ordered a Smittybuilt SRC Rear Bumper. I didn't order with the D Rings and had to fix my order. I called customer service and got it all fixed, the customer service person i dealt with was awesome. Yet, that wasn't the only thing that impressed me. I ordered this on Wednesday and received it on Thursday. I was shocked to say the least. I have told everyone I know who has a Jeep to only deal with your company. Other companies I have dealt with in the past, are not near as awesome as you all are. Thanks again for such great customer service.

All I wanted to do was post my Jeep on this site but in order to do that, you must buy their products... BAD IDEA! Good products... bad company! They have no clue how to send an order out correctly!

I have no success stories to share about Extreme Terrain. Their knowledge and professionalism was terrible and their customer service was even worse. I would not recommend their services to anyone.

It is easy to get ahold of customer service but they are not helpful. I am pretty sure it is just a bunch of kids who are told "just tell the customer we can not do it." Can't believe they do not ha e less than 1 star rating. We should start awarding negative stars for piss poor performances.

Scam as far as I'm concerned. Cheat you out of product and don't make it right, how else do you describe them?

I believe they do actually send the products you pay for. But their service is so terrible that they might as well be a scam. The worst case I experienced was them telling me an order was locked and I could not cancel, 11 hours after one of their own representatives input the order incorrectly.
